This week I completed the quiz to earn my badge for the Pages app on the iPad from Apple Teacher. I personally don't use Pages, as I use Microsoft Word on my MacBook most of the time, so I didn't have experience with using this app. I thought the iBook was pretty informational on how to use the Pages app. There were several features that I obviously didn't know about since I hadn't use it before. It looks like there are a lot more options to use for things like photos and shapes that are not available when using Microsoft Word. The Instant Alpha feature that removes the background in pretty neat because it seems simple to use. Importing images, adding borders, and adding headers and footers all seemed really easy and straightforward to use. I like that students could collaborate and edit with Change Tracking. I think this would be a fun tool for students to use in the classroom if my classroom has one-to-one iPads. I think I could use Pages for a lot of things in my future classroom!
