My First iMovie Trailer: Shapes Around Us
This week I made my first trailer using iMovie. This was actually my very first experience using iMovie at all; I had never used it before this week. I thought it was really cool! The app is fairly easy to use on the iPad. The trailer templates are preset so all you do is add the pictures or videos you want to include, and then type in the words you want where there are spaces for words in the outline. The credits are pre-made also, you just add the names of producer, writer, costume designer, etc. The only thing I didn't like about the preset templates was that you can't add or take away any frames; you have to fill them all, so thats kind of annoying when you want to include more or less items. As far as using iMovie in my classroom, i think it would be a great tool to utilize. The app is easy enough for middle/upper age elementary to use, and I think it would be fun for them to create a trailer about whatever unit we may be covering. I think this app is a great one to utilize! Check out the trailer I made this week, it is posted below.
